Long-Term Resident Missions
These are resident missionaries who give their lives to ministering around the world. Our Assembly of God Missionaries are among the best trained and well equipped in the world. Most are college educated and are ordained ministers. Most have been pastors of churches state-side for at least two years. They are highly skilled and motivated professionals and they have the most successful (in terms of number of disciples) missions program in the world today.
Short Term Missions
- Missionary Associates: The MA program is designed to link people gifted in various vocations with ministries overseas that urgently need their help. MA serve a term from six months to two years. A MA can play a vital role by assisting an experienced missionary in areas ranging from teachers to carpenters to multimedia technicians to accountants. The MA must raise their own funds through friends, family, work and their own home church.
- MAPS (Missions Abroad Placement Service): Through this service, MAPS teams help build churches, Bible schools, etc. MAPS teams also work in evangelism, intercession, children’s ministry, etc. MAPS appointments are from one to 20 weeks, and MAPS workers must raise their own funds.Living Hope Mission Teams: Each year Living Hope strives to send short term missionaries from our church to strategic locations around the world. We have trained and sent people to numerous places around the world.
- Health Care Ministries Teams: Teams of doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and other allied professionals participate by traveling to needy or disaster-stricken areas to help the sick and share the gospel in week-long clinics.
- Various Urban Outreaches: Every year, we have the opportunity to participate in various urban outreaches that occur throughout the summer to places like Detroit and Flint.

General Missions Giving
Our church currently supports nearly 70 missionaries and ministries. They do every kind of missions work from the college campus, bikers and prisons to the bush of Africa. We currently receive one or two letters per week from missionaries in need of support. Our long-term goal is to hear God’s heart and support hundreds of missionaries.

Speed-the-Light
STL is the youth initiated missions program that provides transportation and communications equipment to both home and foreign missions. We provide things like vans, audio visual equipment, printing presses and so on. Many missionaries consider STL to be the biggest blessing in their ministries. Imagine trying to do your job without a car.
How you can help: Give to STL and mark your offering envelope “STL.”
BGMC
Stands for “Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade.” BGMC is the missions’ education program for our children. BGMC provides whatever a missionary needs – where they need it and when they need it. BGMC especially tries to target the children of the world by providing for street kids, orphanages, feeding programs, school supplies and so on.

Light-For-The-Lost
LFTL provides funds for literature and Bible distribution all around the world. Many pastors and believers in foreign lands have these top three requests: Pray for us, help us get Bibles, and send us teachers of the Word.
