We are focused on the 10/40 Window

Currently, half the people in the world have yet to hear of the message of Jesus Christ. Most of the people groups who are un-reached in the world lie within the area bounded by 10 degrees N. Latitude by 40 degrees N. Latitude. This troubled area stretches from West Africa, across the Middle East to East Asia. More than 60 countries lie within the 10/40 window. These countries contain the majority of all Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists in the world.

Our Focus

At Living Hope, our plan is to focus our mission efforts to these countries. This doesn’t mean we will not support mission endeavors outside the window, just that our focus will be the window.

Because Living Hope is an Assembly of God Church and Assembly of God World Missions is considered by many to be one of the top missionary sending organizations in the world, we will synergize our efforts with a focus on Assembly of God missions work around the world. Again, this doesn’t mean we will not support other missions outside the AG; but we will do so on a case-by-case limited basis. Because the local church is the centerpiece of how God expands His kingdom, we will focus on planting and assisting local churches and church leadership around the world.

God also calls us to be salt and light into our culture and honor widows and orphans. Therefore, we will also look into ways of making a positive impact on global issues of our time like sexual slavery, poverty and aids. We currently support ministries like these in Africa, China and India. Because all believers are called to the Great Commission, it is our duty to inform and inspire the people in our congregation of their opportunities and responsibilities to be a part of missions as people who go and people who send.

Our Plan

  • We will keep the vision of the Great Commission in front of the people through mission’s windows and offerings.
  • We will provide opportunities for short-term missions.
  • We will provide annual missions conventions.
  • We will assist those who feel a call to full-time missionary service to reaching the field.
